Activities for your day on the Farm
Tour/Scavenger Hunt
Participants will be introduced to farming as they observe many aspects of the area while “hunting” for plants, insects, and landmarks.
Create Natural Art
Students will create an artistic piece that combines aspects of farm scenery and classroom art standards using natural materials and objects found on the farm
Dig Plant Harvest
Students will gather in the outdoor classroom to get hands-on experience (literally) in the dirt; planting and harvesting seasonal plants.
Taste Farm Fresh Food
Participants will sample the food growing in the fields/orchard they visited
Take Home and Grow
Students will be challenged to grow their own food with a take-away plant kid.
